Cache-Game Race

Cache-Game Mountain Bike Race

Cache-Game Mountain Bike Race

Start your engines & get ready to pin it!

The annual Cache Game Mountain Bike Race is this Wednesday, June 27th.

Sponsored by Teton County Parks & Recreation, the Cache-Game Mountain Bike Race serves as a benchmark for local riders looking to sort out their status among Jackson’s elite mountain bikers.

Beginning at Mike Yokel Park in East Jackson, the race takes riders up to the Cache Creek trailhead, along the road to the Game Divide trail, over the Game Creek Divide and down the recently improved Game Creek trail.   These 12 or so miles of pavement, gravel road and single track serve as a unique suffer-fest with top riders finishing in under 45 minutes.

Racers have just one more day to pre-register for $30 at the Teton Country Rec Center.  Day of registration is $40 and closes at 12:00 pm on Wednesday the 27th.  The race is limited to 75 participants, so make sure you get your registration in early.  This year the race begins with a mandatory racers meeting at 5 pm at the Mike Yokel Park.

Remember your helmet and leave the headphones at home.  There are no aid stations on this course, so if you break down, be ready to fix it.  Riders should also be prepared to bike back to town or arrange a shuttle from Game Creek as there is no shuttle back to town.

Racers are reminded that the Cache Creek and Game Creek trails are shared use trails and bikers must yield to all other users when training for and participating in this race.  Please be respectful of other trail users.  IMBA Rules of the Trail should be observed at all times.

Special thanks to the Bridger-Teton National Forest, Teton County Parks and Recreation, Teton County Search and Rescue and Bar-T-Five.
